Students for Life

“My name is Miriam, I’m a 22-year-old volunteer with Students for Life Ireland, currently studying nursing in UCD.

These are uncertain and frightening times. In the work that I do, as a student nurse, I see the devastating effects of this pandemic on a near daily basis. It’s important at this time to stay safe. As a pro-life person I’ve always believed in the value of all human life at all stages and the need for society as a whole to look out for and protect the most vulnerable among us. Now more than ever we need to up our efforts at protecting the vulnerable.

If you know anyone in your family or locality who may be suffering from loneliness or isolation please consider picking up the phone and chatting to them to see if there’s any way we can assist them. As the old Irish saying goes – “Ar scáth a chéile a mhaireann na daoine” – by supporting each other we will get through this. Stay safe everyone, see you all at the other end of this horrible crisis!”
