Students for Life

As a pro life university student, it can be overwhelming how much more pro choice literature is available compared to life-affirming pregnancy support. I really believe we have to be more supportive and inclusive in society; we should support a world where women don’t feel like their life will be over if they experience an unplanned pregnancy. Being pro life is so much more than just being against abortion. It is about recognising that life is not something we can take for granted and that all human life at any stage deserves to be treated with respect and dignity. We need to work towards a better society for women who are experiencing unplanned pregnancies and remove barriers they face. We need to create more inclusive and accessible college campuses and campaign for affordable child care for student parents. We have to ensure we are consistent in our approach to valuing life, contrary to the media view which suggests that we only want to prevent abortions, we actually want to live in a world that is respectful of all life, no matter what stage it is at.
